Cold Weather Camping Tips

Planning to travel for a camping trip.  Don’t think cold weather camping could be fun?  Winter hiking and trekking at high altitude and the rugged Karakoram and Himalayan snow-capped mountains to camp a few miles from home, require a layer of clothing, bedding, and a good sturdy cold weather tent.

You may want to incorporate a bowhunting trip with a winter camping outing.

Modern convertibles, four-season expedition tent for protection against strong winds and snow in a good size on the weight. A slight, “high tech” tent camping in cold weather, with durable material and stalks, superior ventilation, small package size-up, but with ample interior space can be rented or purchased.

Seasonal Notes Tent

Tent camping in cold weather with a “4-season” rating will provide excellent cover for the countries largest and winter camping. Compared to 3-season and summer tents, winterized tents feature fabric thicker and stronger poles to withstand stronger winds and heavier snow. If you like camping this year, consider a “convertible” tent, tent 4 seasons that turns into a tent three seasons, removing (or extract) of the panels.

Convertible tents are generally not as robust as the 4-season tents. For extreme conditions of winter, or year in high altitude, you must have an “escalation” or “shipping” 4-season tent. With additional poles, heavier materials, fewer sections, reinforced flap and loops for ropes and tent pegs expedition designed to withstand blizzard conditions with near hurricane force winds.

Hot Weather Elk Hunting

If you’re planning your elk hunting travel schedule, don’t disreard the fact that hot weather elk hunting can be highly productive.  Spot and stalk is a very common method used by many elk hunters.  Spot and stalk is where the hunters glass areas for elk, and then come up with a plan to stalk the elk.  After deciding what to do the hunters slowly creep with in range of the elk for a shot.  Elk hunting guides should know the area, terrain where the elk are moving.

Waiting on trails between bedding and feeding areas

Elk feed at night and head to their bedding area about mid-morning.  They also get up from their bedding area and start working towards feeding and watering areas in the later afternoon.  A good tactic to use is waiting on the trails that lead between these bedding and feeding/watering areas. Make sure your guides have been scouting year round and know where the elk are feeding and bedding.

Sitting over a feeding area or water source

Sitting over a meadow where the elk have been feeding or a water source they have been using can be very effective.  Especially on a hot day, a well used water source such as a pond can be a great place to bag that trophy bull Elk. A scouting camera come in handy to pattern the elk.   Hunting from a tree stand in these areas can also be very effective.

Harvesting

After harvesting an elk, it is important to get the meat out of the heat and on some ice immediately.  Take your photos and then get you elk on ice and out of the heat in record time.

Downhill mountain biking competitions are held at located on steep slopes and mountains like the Alps and the Rocky Mountains. The purpose of a competition to lower bike is getting to the bottom in the fastest time. Yet there are many climbers only run on trails for the pleasure of it.

In my opinion, this is mountain biking a successful blend of the chance to feel an adrenaline rush, reach remote locations, see the extraordinary interviews and trying to steer and maneuver a mountain bike at high speed in rough terrain. Most bike paths and bike parks, which are targeted for downhill mountain bikes are provided with attractions and is tailored to their special requests. Many sites downhill mountain bike is equipped with a chairlift that takes riders and their bikes to the top of the hill, without the need to climb.

Travel companies that specialize in cycling holidays in the United States and Europe, and there are areas where cyclists can improve their skills with professional coaches and socialize with like-minded people. The sport has also provided many ski resorts with a source of income during the summer the ski trails become. Speeding up the steep slopes of the two wheels has captured the imagination since the first race in California in 1976, although specially designed bikes downhill mountain biking were not developed until the 1990s.

Many sites act as a landing site on a mountain bike in winter, skiing and downhill mountain biking in the middle of summer. All of Europe, if one or two parks that are suitable for downhill mountain bikers. You can find these parks in France, Austria, Italy, etc.. Parks offer bike trails down barriers specially made and the loser falls into the environment. As for biking downhill is very nice and exciting, it’s one of the styles of bike lanes more dangerous.
