I’m always into new things.  Especially when I’m planning my vacations.  I tend to look for new and different places to visit.  So my travel to a Guest Ranch was no surprise.  Discovery and new experiences are exciting and fun. This is exactly what we all find. A well organized holiday Guest Ranch. There are only so many incredible things to enjoy in a Colorado Ranch, one may wonder what took so long to take advantage of this amazing experience. There is much more involved in driving in this area. Funny how I can not find anywhere else that compares.

The roads in the San Juan National Forest will put you in the center of some of the most beautiful mountain scenery you can imagine. You can ride on these rustic trails and that is  something that no one could ever forget. Even adventuresome people who have never before been in the saddle, will be on the slopes, forging rushig rivers on a horse and gallop across the lush meadows through a valley in no time. The Guest Ranch visitor has experienced wranglers on hand to quickly teach you the art of riding. Contrary to the riding stables at a local riding stables are still Guest Ranch in small groups.

Cold Weather Camping Tips

Planning to travel for a camping trip.  Don’t think cold weather camping could be fun?  Winter hiking and trekking at high altitude and the rugged Karakoram and Himalayan snow-capped mountains to camp a few miles from home, require a layer of clothing, bedding, and a good sturdy cold weather tent.

You may want to incorporate a bowhunting trip with a winter camping outing.

Modern convertibles, four-season expedition tent for protection against strong winds and snow in a good size on the weight. A slight, “high tech” tent camping in cold weather, with durable material and stalks, superior ventilation, small package size-up, but with ample interior space can be rented or purchased.

Seasonal Notes Tent

Tent camping in cold weather with a “4-season” rating will provide excellent cover for the countries largest and winter camping. Compared to 3-season and summer tents, winterized tents feature fabric thicker and stronger poles to withstand stronger winds and heavier snow. If you like camping this year, consider a “convertible” tent, tent 4 seasons that turns into a tent three seasons, removing (or extract) of the panels.

Convertible tents are generally not as robust as the 4-season tents. For extreme conditions of winter, or year in high altitude, you must have an “escalation” or “shipping” 4-season tent. With additional poles, heavier materials, fewer sections, reinforced flap and loops for ropes and tent pegs expedition designed to withstand blizzard conditions with near hurricane force winds.
